North Shore Dining

Moguls Grille & Tap Room

218-663-3020 ~ At Caribou Highlands Lodge on the Ski Hill Rd in Lutsen Our favorite! Classic American dishes with a North Shore twist set in a contemporary casual lodge setting. Mountainside vistas and an attached tap room create a comfortable dining environment for couples, families and groups alike. We recommend the breakfast, especially before a day of skiing [Moguls is ski-in, ski-out!], the walleye cakes and the cherry-fired prime rib. Open breakfast, lunch and dinner. www.caribouhighlands.com/moguls-grille

East Bay Suites in Grand Marais

Great new perspecitve! :) ... See MoreSee Less

At sunset an awesome Belt of Venus formed and the eastern sky turned great shades of pink. Took the helicopter up for a few shots. Here's one over the Grand Marais harbor looking out towards Lake Superior. Hope you enjoy. p.s. check out the lack of ice in the harbor. It has frozen and broken up a couple of times already. The big lake hasn't had any ice on it yet. That isn't rare near Grand Marais. The ice usually starts forming in mid-Feb.
