Grand Marais has water - Lake Superior, dozens of inland lakes, rivers emptying into the big lake and rivers emptying into inland lakes. And in that water are fish. With all the different types of waterways, conditions and habitats, figuring out fishing can be tricky. Fishing with a charter fisherman or guide greatly enhances your chance of catching fish. So whether you want to try your hand at fly fishing, catch some walleye for a fish fry or experience salmon fishing on Lake Superior, you don't have to rely solely on luck.
Guides and charter fisherman typically provide all the tackle, gear, bait, life jackets and complimentary fish cleaning. You should plan on brining on a current Minnesota fishing license [ask if you need a trout stamp], camera, food and beverages, warm clothing [for fishing on Lake Superior], and a cooler for your fish!
